Puppet -Dalai Lama mouthpiece was the first video work I made (apart from documenting actions etc). I was invited to make a piece for a TV project in Japan, a short video to be screened inbetween the adverts on several occasions over a 3 week period. I decided to make a video of George Bush, cutting up and rearranging his words to make him say some words by the Dalai Lama. The Dalai Lama wrote these words in March 2003 in response to the Iraq war.

Foreign Policy - Martin Luther King mouthpiece follows the same principle - this time Condoleezza Rice and Martin Luther King are brought together, and Rice is made to say some words by King on American foreign policy.
